The Pushup Challenge Feb 2026
If you know me, you've heard me talk about push-ups in the last year. HAHA!
Last January, during what was probably my darkest stretch in years, I discovered the Push Up Challenge for the Canadian Mental Health Association. Men's mental health shouldn't be taboo—but it often is. Thankfully, the conversation is opening up, and we need to keep talking about it.
My wellness and fitness out of last Holidays was tough, we just lost our dog before Christmas and some other stuff. SO, I joined the Pushup Challenge in February 2025 to help raise a bit of cash and help give my body some strength.
I grinded through 2,000 push-ups. GRINDED.
BUT, my body felt WAY better. My mental health improved. My posture improved, even in that short time. I also did more stretching.
So I took two days off , I did it again. And again. And again. 15 times. Apart from a few breaks, I just kept going no matter where I was. By December 31st, I'd done 35,000 push-ups; average 108 a day. Booyah!!!
So in 2026, I'm doing it again—and I'm inviting you to join me.
For Mental Health, for mine, for yours.
I'll be completing 2,000 push-ups in 23 days (February 5-27) to raise awareness and funds for the Canadian Mental Health Association.
We built a team called KingerKing, with a chat group where we can inspire and taunt each other through the journey.
Can't do push ups? How about squats?
Can't commit to either? Consider donating instead.
Please support me as I #pushforbetter—All proceeds help the Canadian Mental Health Association support mental illness recovery and foster positive mental health across Canada.
